Cycling Embassy meets with the Heinrich Böll Foundation

cyklister-i-byenToday, the Cycling Embassy of Denmark met with a delegation from the Heinrich Böll Foundation. The delegates are in Copenhagen this week to study the European Green Capital 2014.

The delegates came from Boznia-Herzegovina, Poland, Georgia, Czech Republic, Croatia, and Germany. The goal of the study tour was to further develop the expertise of the participants in the field of sustainable urban development. The 4-day program focuses on carbon neutrality, energy production and efficiency, and mobility.

The group met with the City of Copenhagen and the Cycling Embassy of Denmark among others. The latter gave a presentation of Copenhagen’s bicycle culture. After the presentation, the delegates were off on a bike tour to experience the famous Copenhagen lanes first hand.
