A delegation of over 40 Danish cycle experts will be attending the conference this year, many of them presenting on the latest best practice examples from Denmark. Please see our list of speakers and events here.

Experience the feeling of cycling in Copenhagen

At the Cycling Embassy of Denmark’s stand #15 at the EXPO you can drop by for a chat about cycling in Denmark. This year, you can also experience the feeling of cycling in Copenhagen when we invite you to try our Virtual Reality bicycle tour through Copenhagen.

Mayor’s Debate – connection mayors and bicycle mayors

Recently, a number of cities have appointed Bicycle Mayors who work as independent cycling advocates bringing together local authorities, communities and citizens. In other cities, politically elected Mayors have dedicated their main political focus to increase cycling via investments and policy. A panel of leading Mayors and Bicycle Mayors will discuss the advantages of each approach and how the two functions can work together to reach their common goal of increasing cycling in our cities.

The panel consists of:

  • Morten Kabell, Mayor for Technical and Environmental Affairs in Copenhagen
  • Paul de Rook, Alderman of traffic and transport and Vice-mayor of Gröningen
  • Anna Luthen, Bicycle Mayor of Amsterdam
  • Sarah Imm, Bicycle Mayor of Sydney
  • Philippe Crist (moderator)

When: Tuesday June 13 at 13:00-13:30 during the lunch break at the CED’s stand #15.

Find out who this year’s winner is when we hand over the award at the end of the Cycling Embassy of Denmark’s session “How to support healthy, liveable and bicycle-friendly cities through public-private partnerships.”
