This week, the Cycling Embassy of Denmark is hosting its Bikeable City Seminar in Copenhagen and Aarhus specifically aimed at Latin-American participants.

Latin American cities aim for more cycle-friendly and sustainable cities

Cities across the globe are realizing that they need to become more sustainable, and that the bicycle can play a key part in this process. Latin America is clearly no exception because participants have travelled all the way from Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, and Chile to take part in the five-day seminar which is coordinated in cooperation with the organizations “Despacio” in Colombia and “Bicivilizate” in Chile.

The goal of the seminar is to give the participants some concrete tools and inspiration from Denmark to strengthen the promotion of cycling in their home cities. Over the week, participants will get first-hand experience with the Danish cycling culture as they will be vising both Copenhagen and Aarhus, Denmark’s second-largest city.
