The Municipality of Odense recently opened a new bridge removing a missing link in the city’s bicycle track network.

A missing link less
The new bridge makes it easier for pedestrians and cyclists to cross the railway tracks that separate the city and the developing urban area by the harbor. The bridge was designed among others by Gottlieb Paludan Architects, like Odense a member of the Cycling Embassy of Denmark. The bridge succeeds in combining a high degree of aesthetics with well thought functionality and will no doubt become a landmark for Odense.

Cyclists connect to the bridge via beautifully curved ramps with an appropriate gradient. Underneath the ramps you find safe bicycle parking for those who use the bridge to connect to the railroad platforms.

With the new bridge, Odense has taken another step towards improving conditions for cyclists while getting a new landmark for the city as well.
