| June 4, 2015

GruppefotoThe Cycling Embassy of Denmark is hosting a Bikeable City Seminar in Copenhagen on August 24-28 2015, specifically aimed at Latin-American and other Spanish-speaking participants.

Towards more sustainable cities

With its aim to become carbon neutral by 2015, Copenhagen is not only a world leader in delivering bikeable infrastructure. It was also recently declared European Green Capital 2014. Copenhagen is showing the way towards more sustainable cities, and this will be the focus of the masterclass.

The five-day seminar is coordinated in cooperation with the organizations “Despacio” in Colombia and “Bicivilizate” in Chile. The seminar is aimed towards professional planners in public administrations and private companies, local and national policy makers, academics and researchers, traffic police as well as active members of cycle organisations. The seminar incorporates the participants’ knowledge and experience through presentations, hands-on workshops and site visits. Presentations will be in Spanish or with translation to Spanish. The seminar will be carried out with minimum 10 participants.

The course costs USD 1,500. This includes a five-day course, instructors and teaching materials, lunches and coffee, local train tickets and bike rental. Travel and accommodation costs are not included in the price.
