Chairman of CED speaking in Budapest

image001Troels Andersen, Chairman of the board in the Cycling Embassy of Denmark, is speaking at cycling conference in Budapest on December 2nd.

The conference is part of a Complex Cycling Program based on the National Transport Strategy:

“The main objective of the Program is to continue to increase the modal share of cycling. The Program focuses on 4 areas: infrastructure, awareness raising, cycling for recreational purposes and bicycle industry and trade. The Program includes 38 measures (development or management tools) and the priority projects setting specific objectives, indicators, costs, tools, measures, deadlines and identifies funding opportunities as well. According to the Program, 300 million EUR (mainly EU funds) would be required between 2014 and 2020 to achieve the objectives.”

Troels will speak about the economic effects of cycling in the Danish spatial planning.
