Copenhagen’ s new bike share system unveiled

UrsulaBachYY5A5893The wait will soon be over: the Municipalities of Copenhagen and Frederiksberg are getting a new bike share system.

The new bikes were presented by Minister of Transport, Pia Olsen Dyhr, Mayor of Copenhagen’s Technical and Environmental Administration, Ayfer Baykal, and Mayor of Frederiskberg, Jørgen Glenthøj.

The first 200-250 bikes will hit the cycle tracks in October. During Spring 2014, around 1,500 bikes will be made available at 65 stations.

The bikes have been developed by CED member Gobike.
