Copenhagen is a real cycling city. That is made clear after the introduction of special designed bikes for the city archaeologists. The bikes are used, when driving from one metro excavation to another. The archaeologist protects thereby the hoards of the past, and the environment.
The tools, working clothes, and plotting boards are placed in the box at the front of the bikes, bought by the museum of Copenhagen. It takes some practice to use the bikes, but the archaeologists are happy for their new means of transport, while it is simply easier to find a parking space.
It is easy to spot the bike archaeologists in Copenhagen – just look for the yellow safety apparel!
