Danish Cyclists’ Federation

| September 21, 2010

Pleasure, safety, and mobility. For more than a century, Danish Cyclists’ Federation (DCF) has been the voice of people using the bicycle in their everyday lives. At present, we function as the interface between all relevant players in the field of cycling.

DCF is successfully working for better safety and infrastructure for cyclists – at both the local and national level. This effort is based on direct lobbying as well as consultancy, innovation, and campaigns. The largest campaign is “cycle to work” – when more than 100,000 Danes cycle to work for a full month each spring. A similar campaign for children runs in one third of all schools in Denmark. New campaigns and other projects are always in progress and under development.

We offer city planners, traffic planners, politicians, architects, bicycle advocates, and others the following:

a) Relaunching Denmark as a leading destination for bicycle tourism – Claus Rex, bicycle tourism manager

b) Bicycle lobbying – Lise Bjørg Pedersen, head of political affairs

c) Cycling campaigns: the Danish way – Loa Bendix, head of campaigns

d) Bike friendly workplaces, bike parking, and more – Kristian V. Simonsen, project manager

e) The success of Danish Cyclists’ Federation, leadership and fundraising – Jens Loft Rasmussen, director

f) Cooperation between actors in the field of cycling – Cycling Embassy of Denmark – Lise Bjørg Pedersen, head of secretariat.
